Certify Property in an Inacessible Location

The inaccessible module in myAssets allows departments to meet inventory requirements for items in locations considered to be "inaccessible". This can include locations like highly secured research labs, data centers, etc. that would not normally be easy to access and scan assets. 

Inaccessible Workflow

1. Property Custodian or Department Contact identifies a room that they cannot access but need to inventory property in. In myAssets, under Worklists > Inaccessible Locations, they "Request Inaccessible Location"
   

   

2. Asset Management reviews and approves these requests (Admin > Inventory Worklists > Inaccessible Locations): 
   

   

3. Once a location has been approved, assets in that location can be certified (inventoried) by the department (Worklists > Inaccessible Assets): 
   

   

4. Inaccessible asset certifications completed by department contacts require PC Approval (Inbox > Inaccessible Assets):
   

   

5. Finally, Asset Management reviews and approves the inaccessible asset certification (Admin > Inventory Worklists > Inaccessible Assets). At this point, the item becomes inventoried for the current fiscal year.
    

   

Inaccessible locations and assets must be re-certified EACH fiscal year!
