Create a New Request

Personnel Action Requests can be initiated in two different ways. Use the Create PAR button found at the top right of the screen:

This will open a popup window asking you if you need to create a new position (a new PCN needs to be made), or if you would like to modify an existing PCN. If you are modifying an existing PCN you must search for the position to change.

Alternatively, from the home page you can search for an existing person or PCN to view information about the current position, and click Start PAR to initiate a new request from the search

From the search results screen, you can either 1) start a PAR for this position, or 2) search for a different position.

When filling out a PAR you can view the current position information in the block on the left. The request details form will update as various actions are selected.

Please note that multiple actions can be selected at once.

The request can either be saved (if additional information needs to be gathered), or if all the fields are filled out, and all backup documentation is provided, it can be submitted for approval.

PAR approval workflows depend on the department and the type of request.
